About Evolve	English (USA)
Evolve is a list for the discussion of electronic music and culture and other issues that affect our community in the Pacific Northwest and is targeted towards a mature age group. Evolve is a closed list, which means you need a sponsor (someone already on the list) to get subscribed. The sponsor must send a message to the list owner to recommend you before your subscription can be approved. You can then subscribe yourself below. ETIQUETTE: Pertinent topics are expected. Use sound judgment about when it's time to let a thread die, and to keep heated debate at a respectful level. This list operates on the assumption that we're all reasonable adults, and therefore such behavior is expected. Please consider this when posting and when recommending others. Although the administrators do not wish to have to intervene in "policing" the list, it may happen if necessary. Consensus will be considered, but unlike public lists, this is not democracy (don't panic, you'll find administration pretty reasonable.). :) Do not cross-post to other lists. Please limit "one-liners"...expand on your reply instead. Please refrain from posting jokes and chain letters. Do not publicly post anything from the Evolve list to other lists without permission from the writer. Using Evolve
To post a message to all the list members, send email to evolve@lists.f4.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Evolve
Subscribe to Evolve by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
